Painting at the Edge of the Sea...
I was born in London, and came over with my family when I was six, not too young to have tended my own small garden. That planted a seed: gardening remains a twin passion with painting. I studied art in college and owned and ran a graphic design business for years in New York. It was while taking watercolor workshops in midcoast Maine that I fell in love with the area; in 2009 my husband and I bought a summer house there. In those days you would see a light morning mist come in from the sea and sweep across the yard. My garden loved it. I seldom see that mist today. Climate change has to be the culprit and that worries me. But it hasn’t dulled my passion for nature; if anything it has inspired me to paint the seacoast more and more.
